Negara Islam Indonesia
Negara Islam Indonesia ( also known as Darul Islam or DI), which means “House of Islam” is a political movement which was proclaimed by Sekarmadji Maridjan Kartosoewirjo on August 7, 1949 at Cisampah Village, Tasikmalaya, West Java.This movement aims to make the Republic of Indonesia who had just proclaimed its independence and is on the war with the army of the Kingdom of the Netherlands as a theocratic state with Islam as the state religion. In his proclamation that “The law in force in the Islamic State of Indonesia is an Islamic law”, more clearly in the law stated that “the State based on Islamic” and “the supreme Law of the Al Quran and Hadits” .Proclamation of the Islamic State of Indonesia clearly states the state’s obligation to make laws based on Islamic law, and harsh rejection of ideology other than Quran and Hadits Sahih.
Recently a movement behalf of the Islamic State of Indonesia is very heavily recruitment of new members, but the ways their use turns contrary to syariah and sunnah of Muhammad SAW, the Prophet. Researchers history of Negara Islam Indonesia Sholahudin argues, is actually recent news about the NII is not too important but it is quite appealing to the public.
